She was captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams that have won individual team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London, she won gold medals in floor and team competitions, along with the bronze medal for the balance beam, making her the most recognized American gymnast in the Games. She was awarded an Olympic gold medal for team competition at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas as her teammate also received gold. Raisman was also awarded silver medals for individual all-around and for floor exercise. Raisman received silver medals for the individual all-around as well as the floor exercise. She also is the two-time national champion of floor exercises (2012,2015) and the 2012 champion national of balance beam, and a five-time gold medallist in all-around events at national championships (silver and bronze in 2015, 2010, 2011 and 2012 as well as 2012 and in 2015). She was inducted into The International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in the year 2013.
